  1. Religions are much more fully-featured. They contain parables, historical accounts, laws to govern judgment, principles, commands, etc. etc.

Folklore, or lore in general, is knowledge about something. It doesn't have anything to do with making laws or codes of life, which is why most religions exist.

Myths are stories. Even if they have morals, they are not commandments from a deity or higher authority to mankind on how to live well.

  2. You've got a rude awakening coming

  3. It would offend people and lower Yahoo!'s advertising revenue.

  4. Because dogma religions have an actually history in man kind a documented sequence of events even a king killed as a martyr .So far to the point that archaeologist and scientist can actually find and account for events written .Mythology and folklore is just that myth and folk stories yet to be proved .

  5. Religion is religion, not mythology or folklore.  Simple.

I think it's a matter of opinion as to what is "bs" and what is not.  Religion is made of belief systems, and in that sense, we all have a personal religion to some degree.  Yours may be that you do not chose to believe in a higher power.  Maybe you put faith in science, or in yourself, or in nothing at all.  Whatever the case, we all have our own beliefs and views.

I don't see much point in knocking people who follow a religion or who are spiritual.  Besides, many religions are essentially there to help, not hurt.  When I see people who practice religion behaving less than favorably, I attribute that to the individual, not the religion, as a non-practicing person could act the same way.  Ideas such as, helping others in need, being humble, and being a good friend/neighbor/etc. are helpful things for anyone to try, in my opinion.
