  1. The reason Avon isn't sold in stores is because the overhead cost in stores is prohibitive and reflected in the cost of the products. Avon is able to keep their costs down specifically because they don't have to pay that cost.

    What makes Avon special and different is that Avon has been in the business of selling beauty products for over 120 years. it is a globally recognized industry leader and FORTUNE 300 Company. Avon has their own Innovation and Technology Center for research and development with more than 300 scientists doing their product formulation. That means that when you buy an Avon product, it is truly an Avon product, and not a product produced by some other company and packaged for multiple companies.  


  2. for me,, it is not really different from others like maybelline ,revlon, covergirl and the like...

    it just depends on the company itself.....

  3. because it is a form of multilevel marketing in which sales reps are also paid and make commisions on the sales of other reps.
