Living in Michigan, I have only seen diesel prices drop 20 cents and now up 10 cent. Can some one tell me why the winter prices stayed the same? I do believe in the winter, it will rise agian for the additives.

Are Government can control these prices. We must have known that being an election year, that 3 or 4 months before the election, that oil would come down...

  1. they still have the demand and the truckers are bringing it on themselves. boycott the sobs and suck it up for several months and then it will change. the do what they do because they can. they will always maximize the profit margin. it is the law of supply and demand. change jobs, change your lifestyle and they will change or competition will break them.

  2. Well since diesel is a reject from the other gas, back then 18 wheelers ran off of gasoline but they saw that diesel was cheaper so they converted to diesel.  So the government had the major shipping industry under it's control.  So as the war starts with George Bush, all of those tanks and army vehicles are running off of diesel so that mean that there is a larger demand for the fuel.

  3. Greed

  4. The government has little or no control over the price per

barrel that OPEC charges, and the world market balances.

All they can do is subsidize the imported oil.

Welcome to the rest-of-the-world's dilemna, Kid!
