  1. u mus b bored 2 ask tht

  2. Because it's easier to call it in short form. By the way, Coca cola Singapore at Tuas took over many of the soda brands and other brands already. In Singapore, Sprite, Schweppes, F&N, A&W Root Beer, 100 Plus, Minute Maid refreshment/Nourishment, Qoo, Heaven & Earth Green Tea, Seasons drink and Ice Mountain mineral water are now all under Coca Cola Singapore.

  3. cola by definition has to have at least 1 percent caffeine. If it's caffeine free soda, you can't call it cola. So, they don't.

Cola is made of kola nuts which contain caffeine. If it has kola nuts than it has caffeine. Diet Coke has no kola nuts and thus no caffeine. Therefore, it cannot be called a cola legally.

  4. Marketing....

  5. If they printed Diet Coca Cola, they would have to reduce the size of the font. The word Coke can be written in larger letters in order to better grab your attention, and to more easily distinguish it from other brands.

Without the word Diet on the can, regular Coke can afford to use the full name: Coca Cola, which takes up the same amount of space on the label as Diet Coke.

  6. Two possibilities:

    1) Diet Coke sounded more catchy than Diet Coca Cola

    2) Coca cola wanted to attract former coke addicts to take it easy.

  7. americans are lazy as spechially fat peps to many words to say

  8. it takes too long to say lol!

  9. It's too long! Both to say and put on the can! besides Diet Coke has a ring to it!

  10. Opposite some other comments I think this is a very good question, because as we all (should) know nothing happens in that business without some clever idea of how to boost sales!

  11. Because its easier to say.

  12. Because diet coke has more of a ring to it
