  1. Energy is the capacity to do work. Once you've done the work, the energy is used up.

You might as well ask "Once I've paid money for something why can't I have the money back to spend all over again?"

  2. Energy isn't recycled because it can't fit into a curbside recycle bin with a commercial nickname like Curby.

  3. We could kill two birds with one stone if every household had some kind of a generator like a stationary bicycle, and you'd get up on it and pedal for 20 to 30 minutes every day - you'd be toning yourself up while at the same time generating energy for some house-powering battery or something.

  4. We can't.  It's like batteries. Once we used all the electricity power in them, we can't get it back.

  5. Because, aside for the fact that humans are lazy wasteful slobs, when working with the machines that produce our sources of energy friction usually prevents us from getting  a hundred percent efficiency out of those machines. In terms of nature though energy is actually recycled but with our current technology and methods of getting energy we simply don't get as much energy as we could if we understood how to harness it better.

  6. it is, new cars use regenerative brake systems. the sun which is a huge energy source can be used to store electricity in batteries for later use. on a smaller scale many gardens are lit by rechargeable lighting. perhaps you could be more specific with your question.

  7. So you mean that like once we burn some wood we should somehow burn it again? Or maybe save the heat in a jar for next winter?

Or how about, when we burn gasoline we save some of the excess power we make, like if we just don't use our AC a few days a week, we can save up those revolutions and horsepowers in  big box and later on, when the price goes up, or we run out of gas on the highway, we reuse them?

I wish you'd tell us exactly how you imagine the release of energy could possibly be reused.

Once energy is released, it cannot be re-released.

The whole notion of recycling energy is stupid (to be kind.)
