Why isn't it a sin to spit on people?

Jesus was sinless, but he spat in some dude's eyes.

Is it okay for me to spit on people, too? You know...to be more like him?

He didn't spit in the man's eyes to be nasty. He did it to cure the man's blindness. Apparently the man wasn't offended at being healed by saliva. Would you be if you were blind and someone was able to heal you in this manner? Granted, it may seem gross, but I wouldn't be complaining.

It's not a sin to spit on people. If you hate someone and spit on them, the hate is a sin, but the spitting isn't. It's not a sin to insult people.
