If they are not going to allow cars to use cell phones, I find this a lot more risky...I recently saw a man who hit a mirror while on his bike and falling on the freeway. When they pass me its very dangerous because they get very very close! Your Experience/Thoughts?

  1. When you see a motorcycle on the hi-way give them a little more room.

  2. In California it's legal

  3. It isn't dangerous if you aren't an idiot, don't try spaces that are too narrow, and don't do it in fast moving traffic.

Obviously the guy you saw had at least one of those going against him.

And in most places, it IS illegal.

  4. A.  It is illegal and

    B. It is very dangerous.

My brother used to race motorcycles, and he said he would rather race than ride them on the public road.  He said it was safer, cause everyone is going in the same direction, and he wasn't competing with a 2 ton car. Why motorcyclist want to pass on a single lane is unanswerable to me.  It is truly a disaster waiting to happen.  They must realize that even though everyone driving should be paying 100%, they're not.  And when they come whizzing by one side or the other by a car, it only takes one car driver not to notice them to make the results fatal.

  5. It is illegal in all states, the next time try and get the plate number and report it...
