Question:

Why isn't knowledge free?

This is a huge problem, I believe. Knowledge shouldn't have a price tag, and yet, here we are, stuck in this endless cycle that only benefits us on a large scale, because really, that's all those in charge want... the masses to be content. Teachers are paid, students pay. Does anyone else see how sick and twisted this is? It's horrible.

  1. All the good stuff never is.  There is a price to pay for everything.

  2. The true kind is.

  3. well it's scientifically proven that we learn better from other people, so teachers exist. Then, because we need money to live, and teachers spend hours at school, they need to get paid.

Try teaching yourself from a book, it's fun for a while but it's human nature that we are slack and won't learn as much as we should.

Also school makes us learn, since there are diciplines, rewards and a schedule that we have to follow, making sure that we don't slack off. Which is why uni is for people with self decipline and people who are responsible.

  6. Just to simply think of anything that requires time and effort to obtain a good quality amount of knowledge is just painstaking. Anyone who achieves this kind of accomplishments may need recognition and it is just thoroughly valued.

  7. Because someone has to discover it and someone has to learn it for it to become knowledge.  Discovery and learning takes time, and each of us has a limited amount of time.  That's the minimum of the cost for knowledge to be past on.
