Question:

Why isn't my Internet at the speed I paid for?

I am currently paying for high speed Internet that is supposed to be at 7 mbps, but mine is only at 4.565. I have called Qwest (My ISP) but they said that everything looked fine, and there was nothing they could do. They transferred my call to Compaq (My computer company) but they wouldn't help me unless I paid them $99 because the warranty is up. I have cleared the temporary internet files, and all those related things. I have uninstalled nearly every program I had. Other than buying more RAM, is there anything else I can do? I have also cleared the registry errors.

  1. switch to AT&T internet, its much better

  2. well what ever you do dont get at&t. it is really slow. i had the 768kbps and it would range from 400 kbps to 700 kbps. sometimes it would take up to 3 minutes to load a page. i now have charter 5 mbps and it takes a few seconds to load a page.
