I am getting frustrated. I have to wave it around and press it just about 182373249 times to have one button work, and then another million to get the next to work. It isn't out of bateries, I've tried that. When I got brand new batteries, it still didn't function well.

  1. sounds like it got moisture in it or the sensor is damaged. get a replacement or a universal remote.

  2. It's probably just a bad signal there should be a button on the remote it says sone thing like "code search" then press it if you still have the manuel look under the tab that should say "number code" look under and look for the type of tv you hav (Sharp, Panasonic, etc.) then look next to it and remember that number then press code search on the remote and wait until the light on the remote turns a solid color then put in the number wait for about 3 minutes for it to modify itself then it should work properly. if not then you will have to by a new remote

PS. heres a little tip nexttime I always keep  my manuel with me incase my remote does that it's only done that a couple of times and it fixes it everytime!!

  3. Just return it to store, if you just bought it. I returned 3 eletronic items last month. I think eletronic product don't make as well as they used to.

  4. Must of dropped it alot or something or spilled water in it

  5. There are quite a few possibilities here, but i will go with the easiest to fix. First, is there anything blocking the signal from the remote to the sensor on the TV? Try standing near the TV with the remote and using it. Second, do you use a cable or satellite box to get your programming, because if so you need to be pointing your remote at that, not at the TV itself.

If neither of these options work for you then the best thing to do is get a universal remote and program it. That should solve your problem easily and for limited cost.

  6. Have you tried changing the batteries around evey so often?  If there is a button on the remote called code search - press it then put in the code you put into it.  If not you may have to take it back and get a philips universal remote.
