I had a ultrasound at 18 weeks and 3 days.I was suppose to be 19 days and 5 weeks at the time.Im measuring about a week behind. She was moving alot, but I was told she was a "cooperating baby." LOL.......I felt one big kick last week while sitting and little tiny, almost un-noticeable flutters at night when I roll over to sleep on my back.I also started to feel movement at around 15-16 weeks if im not mistaking.I expected to feel more movements and was wondering why mom baby is so quiet.Anyone experienced this?I barely know she's there!

  1. i didn't feel the first movements of my baby until 18 weeks and it gradually increased from there. at your point in gestation i was feeling the baby move about 3 times per day. now at 35 weeks i feel it about 10-30 times every 1-3  hours. your baby is definitely moving more than you are feeling right now it just isn't strong enough for you to feel all of those movements.

  2. She probably isn't quiet, she is still tiny and you are probably just not feeling her movements. Babies don't "kick" so that you we can feel them until about 18- 20 weeks so that you've felt one is lucky at 18 weeks.

  3. babies tend to have periods of "calm" days this early because we are not feeling the constant motion and periods of constant movement when we go what the h**l was that? it can be up until 22 weeks before she really starts to pound away. I am 18 weeks and 4 days and my girl is spinning all over the place on the weekly scans but i only feel her ever so often.

  4. its not that its not moving a lot its still very small and all the thing protecting it cause it to take longer to feel the baby more . and if u heavier it takes longer to feel movement more often . i think ur ok because it took a long while to feel my daughter alot . u will not be saying u barley know shes there when she gets 4 lbs and turns in ur ribs and kicks all night keeping u up lol

  5. I wouldn't be too concerned at this point.  I started feeling the baby move with this pregnancy around 14 weeks, but it was very slight.  I am 20 weeks now and the movements have become much more noticeable just in the past week.  Some babies are more active than others and the position of the baby at the time of movement will have an impact on what you feel.  If you are concerned, try eating or drinking something and then lying down on your side or sitting still for a bit.  My little one generally starts to move as soon as I do this.  But, keep in mind that even your doctor or midwife will not expect you to feel baby move every day at this point.  Best of luck!

  6. She could just be a sleepy baby, or maybe she just doesn't kick you very hard yet. Some babies move all over and practice their gymnastics and marial arts, others are pretty chill and you only feel may not feel them as much. the improtant thing is that you are feeling her.

  7. Baby is still small.. sometime babies take breaks too.. they sleep a lot..

If you are worried drink some sweet juice with lots of ice and sleep for 30 minutes on your left side.. Baby wl start kicking again..

  8. im 23 wks and 4 days preggo. my baby girl doesnt kick  or move alot either. some baby's are just less active then others. but if your still concerned talk to your doc about it.

  9. you're in your first tri-mester and the baby isn't very big.  soon you'll be feeling lots of activity.  try not to stress out over it, and remember you don't have to do kick tests until 28 weeks,  then you are supposed to feel 10 kicks in twelve hours.

      everything is fine..  love gigi

  10. I am 25 weeks prego and i didnt really start feeling alot of movement until about 22 weeks....but it is normal that you arent feeling anything yest especially if this is your first pregnancy.....just wait a few more weeks and youll start feeling your beautiful baby dont worry

  11. Well, she's still very tiny, so you probably won't feel her that much. When I was about 26 weeks I was in the hospital because I was used to feeling my little boy jumping around like crazy, and didn't feel him at all that day. They hooked me up to machines, the ones that monitor contractions and the heartbeat, and I had to push a button whenever I felt a kick. I believe it's called a non-stress test, but I could be wrong. Anyway, if you really get worried, it doesn't hurt to call the doctor.

  12. At this stage in the game it's very normal to not feel regular movements.  Often times, because of their size, they can be banging away in there and we can't feel a thing.  That's why they don't tell you to keep track of movement until 28 weeks.  As your little one gets bigger the movement will get more consistent and much more noticeable!

I know it's much less worrisome when the kicks become more noticeable but it sounds like your little one is right on track and doing great.  Oh, and a week off isn't too big of a deal.  Could be you'll just have a smaller baby.  It's only when proportions of body parts are off that it's worrisome or if the measurements are off by a significant amount.

  13. most women dont feel their babies moving until about 20 weeks, some not even til 22 weeks, shes still developing but as she matures theyll become more frequent, if your really concerened you can call your doctor
