Question:

Why isn't my new DVD player playing my burned DVDs?

My new JVC DVD player starts playing my burned DVDs (the previews) but when it gets to the menu and I try to play the actual movie it seems to get blocked, it won't play anything from the menu, just the previews that stat automatically. I used to play the same DVDs in my old player and they always worked fine. Why? what can I do? could it be the way I burned them?

  1. Could be wrong file format. I burned movies a lot on cd's & dvds, it also happened that I have the same brand of dvd player. Anyways, you should copy the whole disk , try burning it on low speed to prevent errors next time. Check if it run perfect on your pc and check if you copy the whole files.

    Goodluck!

  2. Thats why you stick to old school DVD players where Burned/Original DVDs are the same to the machine... I guess its cuz the DVD Player knows your playing a pirated copy of a movie

  3. i think that maybe it the way u burn then that the menu options aren't compatible with your new DVD player try using other options and experimenting with them and see what works best if u say they worked with your other DVD player then maybe its your new DVD player that has the laser that picks them up too sensitive

  4. no the problem is in the DVD player obviously contact the manufactures and ask them what is up they will be able to support you with that
