Why isn't my password recognized when I try to edit my bookmarks on My Yahoo?

I know my password and successfully log in to My Yahoo, Yahoo Mail and Contacts with it. But when I try to edit the bookmarks on My Yahoo I get into a loop that recognizes my user name, but keeps asking for my password, apparently rejecting it, even though it is the correct password. What should I do?

  1. You may want to try "forgot password" on the sign in page, change your password and see if you can then access it by doing that.  GOOD LUCK!!!

  2. Are you using My Yahoo! beta?  I've been having real problems with that too. When I managed to get into the 'manage boomarks', I discovered it now has a weird bookmark editor. I've got 157 bookmarks. Previously they were all on one page to edit bookmarks, now if you want to edit them they are presented at 20 bookmarks per page and in random order, so you have to keep trying different pages until you find the one you need to edit!  Very strange, and very inconvenient. I gave up.  Which is pity, because the bookmarks are my only reason for using My Yahoo! as my home page.  If anyone knows an easy way to edit 157 bookmarks in My Yahoo! beta please tell!
