Question:

Why isn't my sub working?

I have an infinity basslink sub that was in my 4-runner but now I put it in my Celica and it won't work. The sub will not turn on. I have it grounded correctly and all the fuses are good. I have tried the auto on and it still won't work. Anyone have any ideas why it isn't working.

  1. Is there an amp running the subwoofer? If so check the guage wire and see if its hooked up to the battery alright. see if the positives and negatives are hooked up correctly, and check it for the turn on lead. If those aren't the problems, then it has to be the car. If nothing then just check in with an audio shop and they will fix the problem.

  2. do you have power going to your remote wire?

  3. Hopefully you have a volt meter or a test light, make sure you have voltage at the remote turn on lead and battery lead.

  4. Check the wiring everywhere I really hate not being able to be right there to give you a full diagnosis but it has to be the wires or sub

  5. how is it powered if you dont have an amp? learn your equipment. if you have it grounded there must be an amp.
