  1. Safari shouldn't interfere with the volume.

Is the volume on, on the site?.

  2. go to http://www.howstuffworks.com/electronics  I think that might help you.  They have a lot of information on how to fix computers and software.

  3. Well, then, it would SEEM to be somewhere in your Safari Preferences, que no? (Who am I to say?) I'm sitting here typing on my Mac without my HP powered on at the moment so, you'll probably yowl at me for suggesting it, but, I'll just say, dig into your Safari Preferences and see if you can find a "mute" setting...

  4. if your on vista it has seperate cvolume conrol for each progrma, so right click on the speaker icon on the taskbar.

choose volume mixer, scroll through the list ( make sure you have safari open or it wont be on the list) find safari, nad make sure the volume slider is ot the top.

if it is to the top, then safari may be broken, bear in mind its a Mac app not a Wndows app.
