Why is there nothing being done about gas prices and why doesn't the news talk about them anymore?  

First of all, the news doesn't talk about them because there are more important things to cover like the election.  

Next, the rest of the world is paying the same price for oil that we are.  We're lucky that our government doesn't tax it like it's taxed in other countries.  People in England are paying twice as much for gasoline as we're paying.  If you think $3.50 a gallon is expensive, imagine what it would be like if we were paying $7 a gallon.  

Lastly, yes the high price of gas in unfortunate.  But it could be so much worse.

There is nothing being done because the Democratic controlled Congress is blocking all efforts for a remedy, drilling in this country. The media does not report it because they are trying to control the election.
