Why isn't "Mashup" not as popular on the regular stations? I love Mashup music.?

  1. Sometimes it has to do with legality.  if there is no pre existing agreement between record labels, to play two songs from seperate publishers begs the question, who gets the royalty or does the radio station pay it twice to two entities for one "spot" of sound on the play list.


  2. If it was more popular than the programming curently on air, they'd replace it with MU, if for no other reason than being competitive.

    Eventually I expect to hear Mashup and custom stations broadcast over the air (not just internet and satellite).

    But it will be a while yet. be patient ;<)
