  1. Not enough votes in the Senate to make it happen.

No sense in the candidates sticking a foot in their mouth.

But I agree that it is a popular idea in America right now.

  2. I know all you sick m f,ers thought 911 was funny that the U,S, got hit by terrorism but i think your right Bush should be impeached for not hitting Iraq with everything we had and taking Iran down with it .

  3. Impeachment has nothing to do with dopey petitions. In order to be impeached, you have to commit a crime and have a true bill returned by the indicting authority. Can one of you geniuses cite any particular crime; name a statute that was violated or anything of the sort. If not, get over your BDS and move on already.

  4. Well if you knew who really runs the show you would already know the answer.

  5. Because Bush has done nothing to get impeached for and they know it. The main stream media also has BDS(Bush Derangement Syndrome) as you do and would be biased in their polling anyway...

  6. HE IS A CRIMINAL WITH PROTECTION OF THE LAW

  7. Another stupid diatribe from a leftist American Hating Yahooligan - gee, go figure - they are not doing the poll for the simple fact that he has not done anything worthy of impeachment.  And besides, our government is not meant to be run by public opinion polls.  You're not very bright, are you?

As to the firing of the 9 U.S. attorneys...President Clinton fired ALL of the sitting U.S. attorneys when he came into office - where was your righteous indignation then, pin-head?

  8. Because a) Bush is a lame duck and because b) Democrats don't control enough votes to make it happen.

Bush could kill babies on national TV and most of the GOP wouldn't impeach him.

It's gotten that bad in Congress.

At least in the 1960s, the Democratic voters hounded their OWN president out of office when he went against the people's will.

Now this is no longer probable.

  9. you can't take someone to trial because of an opinion.

  10. Because we shouldn't...Perhaps some of the American people should be impeached for treason...

  11. Because the Senate will not bow and bend to the will of a few left wing liberal moonbats, who hate the President. You have to actually have a case, which you do not.

  12. If Bill Clinton got away with what he did..........

  13. Exactly! If they thought the president guilty you better believe they would have pushed this and got it thru in a week. So I would guess as I suspected he hasn't done anything worthy of this! Simple.

  14. All - Get a grip on your brain and stay focused on the question. Try to look at it logically and legally, rather than politically.

The responses to asking "what crimes has he committed" are nothing more than the Democrat's party line. Nothing more specific - that tells me that you don't know and can't support it legally. As others have noted, you can't impeach someone based on the public's opinions..... just like you can't command the military based on the public sentiment (or Congress, which has turned into nothing more than a couple of committees totaling 535 members)

When asked what "high crimes and misdemeanors" has he committed, then be specific - don't just respond with "der Fuhrer" and other name-calling. If you've got particular sections of the US code that he's violated - with proof - then forward it to Nancy Pelosi. Otherwise, your demands are nothing more than your expression of hatred for Bush. That, my conservative-bashing friend, is NOT a reason for impeachment. Take a look at the Constitution - it makes excellent reading, especially when you read the Federalist Papers, which are the precursor of the Constitution.

I've found that (in general), the liberals attack the person and the conservatives attack the idea. To me, this says that the liberals (ie, Demos) don't have any original ideas, so they HAVE to attack the person.

Why aren't the Demo candidates asking the same question? Because they don't have the proof.

    Any questions?

    Calif Deputy

  15. I have one question, since you feel that Bush lied about WMD being over there... do you think he was told they were there, or do you think George was over there, saw them, came home and decided to go to war over them?

Get a grip!  He isn't the ONLY one making decisions.

  16. HA, ha  I just love these rose colored glasses wearing neo-cons on Yahoo Answers. Reich wing jar heads!

DUH! "W" ain't done nothin' wrong..duh! You "people" better wake the F#ck up. The poster of this question all ready made a short list of some of the things der Fuhrer has "done wrong" why can't you see that. Dictator Bush has broken his vow to uphold the Constitution by illegally wire tapping fellow American citizens, geez have you been under a rock or what?!

  17. well i would agree that in most cases it makes sense to just package an ineffective leader out the door  BUT I do think that me must make decisions and do things sometimes not because they make economic sense and are practical but rather because they set precidents.   if leaders see that this behavior is tolerated , they too , will think they can get away with this stuff and wait to be packaged out too.

citizens must get more informed / proactive and not tolerate bad leaders just because it's the easy way out.

  18. Because the majority of American public still has a brain.  You can't indict (i.e. impeach) anyone based on just plain accusations and hatred, can you?

Also, what good it's gonna do for our country to see 435 liars trying to charge another one for lying?

By the way, it's also a boring polling question to ask? "Should we videotape oral s*x in the White House?" would be more interesting for the pollster :-)

  19. "...his decision—then being strongly challenged by Secretary of State Powell— to exempt the treatment of captured Al Qaeda and Taliban fighters from Geneva convention provisions."*

This is an example of Bush issuing a signing statement. He issued it to avoid the restrictions of the War Crimes Act of 1996. A war crime* is a violation of the regulations set by the conventions of warfare (The Geneva Convention).

The War Crimes Act makes it illegal for a US National or member of the Armed Forces to violate the Geneva convention.* He has carried out orders against Al Qaeda that violate the Geneva Convention, and it is a crime in the States to do so as well. He makes sure that everything is alright beforehand (like the signing issues) so we can't pin him with an impeachment. I don't know how people consider him such a moral religious man. I don't think that Jesus would wish someone else to be tortured. What he did was morally wrong and I wish there was more we could do about it.

If being unpopular were grounds for impeachment he would be gone two years ago. Unfortunately we probably will just have to wait until someone else takes over and we can start to repair what has been done.

  20. Being unpopular is not a reason for impeachment. The Constitution sets high standards for impeachment that involve high crimes and misdemeanors. The fact that you hate the man does not mean you can impeach him. There is no allowance for incompetence when it comes to impeachment. Your best bet is to ride out the next year and a half and elect a new president.

  21. There are more than a million signatures on petitions to impeach the man. Three times that to impeach Cheney.

At the height of the Lewinski nonsense, there were no more than 30,000 names on such petitions.

The answer is: the press is in bed with the corporations that run your country. The public will has nothing to do with it.

  22. Impeach him for what exactly?........................ Anyone.

Congress voted, democrats and Republicans alike in favor of going to war; even Hillary Clinton was in favor of getting rid of  Saddam. President bush went into Iraq based on reports by United States intelligence  that were not 100%accurate but that does not make him a liar.If I had received the same reports I would have did the same thing.I would rather err on the side of caution then just to sit and wait for something to happen; If Bush did nothing and today Saddam had his followers blow up the empire state building then you probably would have said why didn't Bush do anything?

  23. Because nobody in their right mind would impeach a president so close to the end of his term of office - wait, somebody already did!!!  It was the Republicans and Clinton!

  24. Ask GE(NBC), Time Warner(ABC), Viacom (CBS) and Rupert Murdoch (Fox).

It's called the "strategy of confusion" and "orchestrated opposition".  If you check out the National Security Archives, you'll find declassified documents pointing to the insertion of clandestine agents into the formerly-free American media/press.

Along with the Media, the USG focuses on impotent, meaningless distractions that take our combined attention away from the atrocities that are the pseudo-War on Terror, War for Profit in Iraq, the attack on US citizens civil liberties, and the attempts at fascist tyranny.  Combining religion, school and the big brother mentality, the USG has worked to scare the sheople to keep them stupid.

As for listing what Bush has done, I'd do so, but then you'd call me a Democrap, a liberal or some other retarded term, as I can think of many, many reasons.  Here's why I'd impeach Bush (to avoid the who Terror/Iraq nonsense):  Since India refuses to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation treaty (and can't until they admit their arsenal) by International Law, it is illegal to share ANY nuclear technology with India, civilian or otherwise.  Instead, President Bush unilaterally decided to have the State Dep't work out a nuclear agreement.  (Funny since the IAEA, the world nuclear watchdog, has no say in it and has only proof that Iran is working on a civilian nuclear program for energy) but, hey we need dark skinned enemies, right?

  25. you can't impeach a president based on the rantings of the lollipop guild. You need a real reason. even the decadent  Dems in power led by the wicked which of the east knows this, which is why they aren't doing it.  But keep wishing and clicking your heels together and maybe the great Oz will come through for ya.

  26. Blah

    Blah

    Blah

If congress had an impeachable offense with which to charge him, they would have.

Impeachment doesn't happen because of "public opinion".  It takes real verifiable facts.

    Congress doesn't have any

    You don't have any.

    Get a life.
