Why isn't the nano meeting American safety standards?

the nano is a 2,500 dollar car released by tata.i heard it is not meeting us safety standards

  1. The Nano does have a full protective frame to help it meet Indian safety standards but it wont meet American standards and probably wont..........................


  2. Nobody wants to be in one of those when a 6,000 pound Ford Expedition t-bones one. They aren't designed for the US market.

  3. Likely not.  A car that small and weak built would be no match for a two-car collision in the US.

    If I remember correctly, it is also missing key safety systems.
