Many other countries have centrist parties, why doesn't America? I think compromise would be a lot better than having to choose between two polarizing parties, and the Constitution has proven that compromise will work.

  1. THe Republicans seem to be trying to be the centrist party, the way McCain seems to agree with Democrats on Illegal Immigration, Gorebull S**t warming, and other isssues but also agrees with the Republican base on issues like winning the war, drilling for oil (of lately), the Life issues (abortion, etc), and others.

THat is why I am becoming a libertarian..

  2. Because for years neither side went to far left or right. Sadly this admnistration went way to far right and did things our forefathers saw were bad to begin with. The dems have been bad in the past. Both parites always manages to ride the fence. Then came BUsh the second and trampled on things.

What had done well for two centuries he felt the need to crush.

  3. It's called the Democratic party.  Seriously.  Take a look at the policies promoted by FDR and Truman.  Now take a look at what the Democrats propose today.  FDR is rolling like a log.
