Why isn't there a general horsey section for other horse sports besides racing? ie 3day eventing?

For any eventing fans out there, does anyone know what's happened to Pippa Funnell recently? I know she retired Rocky & lost Viceroy to colic, but she still had Primores Pride - is he injured as she doesn't seem to be competing on him? I've only seen mention of Ensign. Is Primores Pride her only 4* horse now? Seems such a shame to have bad luck after an amazing achievement in 2003 with her Rolex grand slam win, 2x Badminton winner (or was it 3?!) and the Europeans and Olympics.

*Yes we really need a section of our own.. some thought "pets/equestrian" was a good idea, which gladly YA did not implement.Would that put us next to pets/hamsters ?LOL

Best a section of equestrian in sports/ horses/general/ would be grand. The barrel racers,pony clubbers,4-H and CCI and FEI and all the western world people need a place..plus all those how to and vet questions.

There have been numerous requests for a separate equestrian category- and complaints because there isn't one in existance at the moment. I have made the suggestion to the answers suggestion team, and I was fortunate enough to have actually had my suggestion read and taken under advisement by them. I hope that this will lead to the horse people in this column eventually getting a category of their own, but I think it is still up in the air, at least for  a while. As for Pippa,  I know she is competing at Rolex this week- her picture and bio are in this week's edition of the Chronicle of the Horse ( it's their annual Rolex Preview Issue) and like you, I hope she can win- though she will have some stiff competition from her own teammates and from our competitors, which this year include Phillip Dutton and Kim Severson, as well as both of the Davidsons ( Bruce and his son, Buck) and John Williams. I don't know if Pippa's only 4 star horse is Prinmore's Pride-like you, I haven't seen much in the way of references to him this year. ( I am a dressage enthusiast, but I follow eventing and show jumping as spectator sports, and I have a thorough understanding of both) I hope for the best- we certainly could use some good news in the equestrian world about now- what with Derby week and the anniversary of Barbaro's tragic breakdown fast approaching. I will keep hinting and asking for a separate category for us horse sports enthusiasts- and who knows, if they get enough complaints, maybe they will listen. You should also try going to the suggestion board and voicing your suggestion- I can't do it by myself, I'm only one voice, and if we are to get a separate column and category, there must be LOTS of voices asking for the same thing.  So I urge you to try it- and even if they don't respond now, they will eventually. Yes we need one.... even under pets, there is not a horse section, horsey stuff just put under "pets - general"
