i think it's ridiculous to have to drive all the way to portland and vancouver to get to one. there are even a couple that are only a few miles apart on the same road! i understand alot of neighbors don't want one in their backyard, but come on. it's not like it's a very prestigious county. at least have one walmart in the center of beaverton. as a suggestion, a perfect place would be at the intersection of cornell rd. and cornelius pass, on the corner of the huge open field where fujitsu use to be. or the corner opposit starbucks. this is a perfect place because it's right by the freeway, has interseting roads that can handle heavier traffic, and is at a prime location where businesses are booming and popping up all over. thanks for listening =D

  1. I agree. It's the same reason that there IS a Walmart in every small town in Arkansas (because they want them there).

I love Walmart and their innovative ideas (RFID says it all) but their Site to Store is wonderful, they offer higher end products that aren't sold in the stores.

Watch out, eventually I think (totally my opinion) they are going to start selling wedding dresses, cars, etc. Watch and see. People in Beaverton don't need a Walmart and I'm sure they would be offended if it was even offered. On the PNW Walmart is associated with a lower class of people - good luck!

  2. i'm glad we don't have one, it crushes local businesses, takes up ALOT of space, creates traffic and is rather ugly
