Why isn't there adverts on t.v for pubs? eg Yates or a weatherpersons?

  1. A pub is too local. I know there are chains, but still, an individual pub is only in one place, so there's no point in advertising it regionally.


  2. For the same reason that there are no adverts for smoking products  -  to help discourage under age participation.

  3. They are not allowed to advertise because they say it encourages youngsters to drink.

  4. yeah i think there is some sort of ban on it to stop encouraging us all to drink esp younger generation. same thing during the british f1 grand prix, the teams are not allowed to put the sponsors on their cars like cigarette brands!
