Seems to me they're missing out on an entire region of the earth. Where's New Zealand too?

  1. Disney is racist.  They left out a lot of countries but I agree that area should be represented.

  2. yea their is limited space. to be ohnist it would most likely be the other way round. not that disney is racist at all.  more likely that australia and new zealand dont want their country advertised in a theme park.  australia and new zealand are very private countries, haveing it advertised in a usa theme park is more or less saying  usa own australia in a very political disney usa way.  the turth is i dont think the australians and new zealands like the americans.

  3. If they do have an Australian themed area, I really hope it caters more to the Aborigines.  Because if it caters to just the European-stylings and culture that would be SOOOOO boring.  When I went to Australia to live with a family, I thought the aborigines were far more interesting than performing at the Sydney Opera House.  Although, I do miss seeing a sea of red roof tile houses and those darn kookaburra birds that sounds like monkeys laughing in the early morning.  I wonder when they are going to expand the African Pavilion into a real Pavilion instead of a bazaar but then again they do have animal kingdom??  Any why is it that other countries like Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Russia, Sweden, Israel, Saudi Arabia and other countries?  I guess they only choose the really tourist-y places to feature in the Pavilion.

  4. as other people have answered disney advertised that they wanted to place different countries in their themepark and they needed them to provide information and seetings that would be best included in the pavillions.  the ones you at Epcot are the ones that responded, so its not Disney thats being Racist its the other countries not wanting to be involved.

  5. Probably not exotic enough. Or maybe they only include areas with much larger populations.

  6. I have marked this as interesting because its a great question. Does Australasia not exist? Think we should start a petition to get them included

  7. At the time Epcot was design/created, several pavilions concepts were proposed, including Australia. While Disney initiated the concepts, each country was asked to provide input/resources to make the pavilion a reality. Several countries form the initial concept stage did not provide feedback, or declined to be included.

Since then, many of countries (including Australia) have asked to be included in the World Pavilion, and Disney has pondered the idea of expanding the pavilion several times, but as of yet there just has not been the ability to work in the expansion.

And the blanket statement that Disney is racist is uneducated and asinine...
