Why isn't this code working?

i'm trying to use the marquee code on my myspace page to go up. but for some reason its not working. i've looked everywhere for the code and i keep getting the same thing. is there something i'm doing wrong? here's the code that i use...

<marquee direction="up"> TEXT </marquee>

is there like a new code or something? lol. i've been like freaking out about this. please help. xD

if so, use this instead
