  1. Because of white male Christian Americans.

You can just start using that answer for everything. It makes all the tough question easy. Just ask any African-American.

  2. Because they want to be independent and hope that they can pull it off by standing on their own two feet and also because they are scared that what happened to Iraq might happen to them too. They are a small country and the people are not as clever and as advance as the western countries. Sometimes the Western countries have to learn that even if they are rich and everything they are not the most important thing in this world. They will hopefully pull it off without killing any more people.

  3. The people in Burma wants democracy and the minorities there are working for succession from the Central rule. The rulers fear that outside help or aid workers might incite the people against the government.Hence the government is reluctant to ask for outside help.

  4. yeah...i feel so sad about it...do they have hearts of humanity ? i think...something must be changed .down there

    just my opinion

  5. Myanmar's (formerly known as Burma) Dictatorship or Military Junta wanted to receive assistance or aid that met their conditions:

    1.  No Foreign Aid workers allowed in their country (Myanmar) period end of story.

    2.  If Foreign countries wanted to donate supplies for the cyclone victims of Myanmar, said supplies would have to be turned over to the Junta who would in turn distribute said supplies to their fellow citizens.

Sounds like a deal right?  Wrong!  First and foremost, the Red Cross, UN, World Health Organisation and other disaster prepardness agencies are trained in situations such as this.  As in they know how to properly distribute food & supplies, set up medical stations, provide shelter, clean running water, toilet facilities, trash disposal and the like.

Myanmar's military Junta are totally incompetent.  Initially 1 in 10 people (due in part to Myanmar's Junta) was receiving any type of post cyclone aid.1 in 10!  ( o _ 0 )  Incompetence!

Secondly, the generals in Myanmar's Junta were taking supplies donated by foreign countries and writing their names on boxes as "gifts" and distributing these boxes to needy families.  Talk about propaganda?!  s***w propaganda!  Hello idiot generals?!  Your people are "dying" for a lack of a better word and you're playing "isn't our government so kind and benevolent?!"  ( o _ 0 )

I emailed CNN and asked why isn't Myanmar's Junta being tried for "Crimes Against Humanity" by an "International Court."  Because of their political agenda, rigidity, and gross incompetence, hundreds of thousands of people have died and will continue to die.  Those hardest hit?  The sick, elderly and the very young.

  6. I think one reason is that their junta doesnt want the people to be influenced or learn that life is better elsewhere, by outsiders like aid workers. They want the people to think that their "government" are the best, and that they are providing the stuff being sent there.....

This would be one place that the UN should just go in and take over by force.

    Those people need real help.

  7. Because their military goverment is made up of pigs.

  8. Because the military junta is protecting itself and doesn't give a d**n about the people who are dead and dying.  You know the bodies still haven't been buried nearly three weeks after the cyclone?  There are bodies in the streets and hanging from trees, but there simply aren't enough able bodied people to bury them.
