  1. Because traditionally the heirarchy goes

    King

    Queen

    Prince

And as the queen is higher than him he can't be a king because that would mean he had more power.

Because he isn't in direct line to the throne but if he was Geroge's son the queen would still be the queen.

  2. Because the Queen (his grandma) is still alive. The only way he could become a King now would be to marry the Queen, which is dirty and is not going to happen. Eventually though he does have the possibility of becoming the king. I do not know the hierarchy but if everyone above him dies, he becomes the king. Which is  only a few people.

  3. He's not a Royal ...........................

  4. Philip was not heir to the throne. Elizabeth and Margaret were heirs to their father's(George VI) throne. Philip is of Royal birth(Danish-Greek,although he is not of Greek blood) and a third cousin to his wife.He is Prince Consort because that is the title a man may bear when his wife is the monarch of the UK.The title king is considered higher than queen so no man may be king when his wife is the ruling Queen. It would take an act of Parliament to make Philip a king.Elizabeth has never wished to make him a king or "king consort;" she is quite happy being the ruling queen.

  5. He is the Prince Consort. And the British Government decided not to let him be King Consort. He is the Prince Consort instead which means "husband of a reigning monarch". Just like a King Consort. Except they didn't want to let him be King for the simnple fact that they just ruled against that type ot title with several other monarchs that had husbands in the Great Britian Government.

  6. The head of state is Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, therefore, her husband Prince Philip is her "Prince Consort." A prince consort, generally speaking, is a common term for the husband of a Queen Regnant, unless he himself also is a king in his own right.

The Queen may also bestow upon him the title "King Consort", which is entirely at the will of the Queen. King consort is a title given in some monarchies to the husband of a queen regnant. Nowadays, it is a symbolic title only, the sole constitutional function of the holder being similar to a queen consort, namely to produce an heir to the throne.

Spain, Portugal, England and Scotland have all had kings consort; however, since the rank of king normally outranks that of queen, in most monarchies the queen's husband is given the title of prince or prince consort instead.

Note: In the British monarchy, the husband of a female monarch does not have any recognized special status, rank, or privileges. In actual fact Prince Philip does play a major role in royal affairs, but this is not recognized in terms of his title. Interestingly enough, the wife of a male monarch (e.g. the Queen Mother was the wife of King George VI) takes on her husband's rank and style upon marrying, becoming Queen.

  7. A King out ranks a Queen. As the crown passed to her he has to be her Prince consort.

  8. the reason is that basically both phillip and elizabeth are decended from victoria but for a start elizabeth is decended through the male line and phillip through the female.  so you have Queen Victoria, Edward VII, George V, George VI and finally Elizabeth II (obviously missing out Edward VIII as he has no presidence in this equation) and prince phillip is decended i think from maud i think it is victorias youngest child or daughter anyway

  9. because he dont have the balls to snatch the throne from his old bat for a wife, the reigning queen.. thats why

  10. Because Prince Philip is the Eldest Son of Queen Elizabeth?

  11. Because his mom was going to marry a Muslim.  They figure there must be some screwy genes in that family for that to happen.

  12. He's not a direct heir to the throne. He married into the British royal family when he married queen Elizabeth
