Why isnt amare stoudemire on team usa???

he may be the mvp 2009 and lead the suns to a championship and even if he woont hes still much better then bosh or boozer,and hes been on this team for a while now,so dont say chemistry or something like that...

He said that he wanted to rest this offseason and prepare for the next season.  But I agree, he would have been a great addition to team USA.  But as a Suns fan I like to hear that Amare is so dedicated to the Suns that he would pass up the Olympics to remain healthy.

As for being the 2009 MVP, there are players like Chris Paul, Kobe Bryant (who can repeat), Lebron James, and Dwight Howard who all have large chances of winning the MVP award as well.  However, I think that if Amare plays as well as he had once Shaq arrived, he has a good chance to win it.

Amare was selected to be on Team USA, but he choose not to be apart because of health issues, and he will to focus on the Suns this upcoming season.

team usa is crazy i understand stand why they have  deron williams and cp3 but they have jason kidd...i repeat jason"brickman"kidd for allen iverson wat has jason kidd done for his team this season nothing...and its not allen iversons fualt that his team sucks(except for melo of course)they got to the playoffs and woulda went  to the second round if they havent  faced lkaers in first i mean give me a break overated ball hog kobe bryant vs the nuggets who the h**l do u think would win??

Because he didn't want to and he doesn't have to. Loyal to what? He is not a soldier refusing to go to war. And how many of us want to get drafted, none. So are we all disloyal.
