Recently we got Verizon Fios on all four T.v's in my house, but not to long ago the one in daughter's room started acting up. Her t.v is on and the box is on but the t.v is blank and the channel numbers don't show on the box. When you try to push a button on the remote the STB button lights up. It is something were doing wrong or do I have to call Verizon and get them to fix it?

  1. I dont see why you dont just call VERIZON isnt that a lot easier than posting a question on YAHOO ANSWERS........well I guess its FUN asking questions here though...........Anyway I would call TECH SUPPROT at VERIZON i am sure they will resolve your problem

  2. Did the "input" channel on the TV get changed?

To check that out, look @ where the wires are coming from the STB (set top box) to the TV.  Then using the TV remote (not FIOS remote) change the input to that setting.

If that doesn't work, try to recycle (soft boot) the STB.  To do that pull the power cord out of the STB for 60-90 secs.  When you plug it back in you will see many different codes displayed on the box.  That is normal, it is just resetting.  You will know when the box is all set because you will see the time on the box.  Now if this still doesn't work you will have to call tech support and have them "zap" (hard boot) your STB from their end.
