my 10month old bearded dragon has decided to stop eating everything. it took me months to get him onto greens and now he wont eat them or mealworms/locusts either. i think it may be that is viv is too cold. its around 85F, could it be that its too cold so hes body isnt prepared to eat? he sometimes acts lazy and sits in the corner, but when i get him out he runs on my bed. is it to do with the temperature?

  1. temperature seems to have everything to do w/ it. If a beardie is at the temp, it's probably hibernating and of course would have no itnerest for food. You need to turnt he heat up to 100 asap. Beardies need a lot of care and a lot of work. Also, if you do not have a UVB bulb, that may be a double whammy.

  2. it could be 2 reason

1 his environment may be wrong IE. too cold make sure he has a 100 watt heat lap so he can metabolize

2 he could just be lonely get him a mate

  3. Beardies are from aussieland....bring that temp up to 100...and see how he does...85 and below is sleeping weather for them...How long has his home quarters been at 85?  What is his sleep time temp?  Do you regulate between a night light (red or black) and a day light (uv).   Do you have a cool side and a warm side to his home?  Does he live on sand or what?  Do you put calcium on his food?  Do you feed him wild locust?  Just a few questions....

  4. if u dont hav a cooler place for it to digest his food try adding one. o.O on the opposite side of the heat lamp.
