Why isnt one wall handball that famous?

Although it is very competitive, hand/wall ball never leaves a playground, local gym, or country club. Its probably not as ancient as all the other very popular sports either.

It's more popular in schools and I think people don't see it worthy enough. I wish it was famous though because I love playing it at school!

Handball is played in many forms all over the world. One wall's just one modality of the sport. "Fame" is a matter of perspective- many towns in northern Spain and southern France have one wall courts in town where residents gather to play and spectators to watch and cheer them on. Players are famous in their towns and to those who know and follow the sports.

Will our sports ever be as closely followed as soccer or baseball? I doubt it- Handball's more a participant sport than a spectator sport. Only another player can appreciate the skill it takes to make the shots that get the big points.

Most One-Wall courts are secluded to New York and therefore its national popularity is not that great. The reason why Four-Wall has a greater following is because nation wide there are more courts. Of course one-wall is the most basic form to learn so it has the potential to become more popular.
