Why isnt the new slipknot album heavy like they said it would be?

i got the new slipknot album on sunday(not lying) and i think it is way too soft they said it is there heaviest album yet and there is only like 3 good songs. what r ur opinions on the album?

Heavy COUNTRY music?  Slipknot?

You DO realize you posted this in country, don't you?  Even with the horrid definitions of "country" used today, I don't think Slipknot fits.

I like it.especially gematria.

I think the album is a mix of stone sour,that's why some of the songs like sulfur have melodic vocals.

idk im pretty disapointed though, i was expecting HEAVY but less than half were heavy but the songs that were heavy were pretty good in my opinion

Not heavy at all.It weighed about 3lbs is all.

I haven't heard the album yet, but it should be noted that on their last album, and on this one, Slipknot has been trying to make a "crossover" album.  I'm not really a fan of their music but I do support a band's willingness to explore new sounds, to evolve/grow.  They've been attempting to explore other sonic avenues and widen their audience.  This might end up alienating some (as it seems to have for you) but most of the hardcore fans will end up sticking around to see what they do next.  

It also probably helps that they shed famous metal producer Rick Rubin, who had produced their previous album in order to help go in a new direction.
