Why isotherms do not intersect each other?

From Boyle's law we know that pV curves are isotherms. Also we know those isotherms do not intersect, they are parallel curves for different temperatures. Why they don't intersect?

  1. Think about it: if they intersected, then that point would have to be 2 different temperatures at the same time.
