Why it is necessary of having a current affairs test in the microbiology&molecular genetics?

as i have my test tomorrow. i dont think it is of any importance.

There are two reasons for its importance.  First, these areas are very important to everybody in general.  The importance grows the more you know.

A few examples might help:

(A) The issue of evolution vs. intelligent design becomes a nonsense argument to people who have studied genetics.  They see the data that supports evolution.

(B)  New techniques of molecular biological engineering are bring positive results for people's health.

(C)  Molecular biology is being applied to agriculture, but there is great fear, especially among those who know the least.

(D) It is important because you are having a test, and your teacher defined it as important.
