I was looking over the JC menu and I can cook my own steamed chicken with vegetables, or fish with salad, I don't really have a sweet tooth but chips are my weakness. Can't I just lose weight on my own?

  1. Many people want the easy way out and see that is away to do it.

What they don't realise is they still have to follow a diet, that could be pulled up on the net.

It is like the fitness machines you see that 'Guarantee to see you loose weight" or "tone up the tummy".

The machines are c**p without the diet they are pushing.

To make your own chips cut them into 10-12 mm strips and deep fry in hot oil in batches. The hot oil will seal the outside and stop the fat penetrating.

  2. Of course you can do it on your own. But some people need the structure that prepmade portion controlled food gives them. Sometimes it is just too easy to take an extra serving of food that you do not need or give in to that craving for chips ;)

Here is a group that just started that is dedicated to doing using the menu plans offered on the Jenny website (for free!!) with foods that come from the grocery store. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Jen...

  3. i think some people need that extra set of controlled ,strict ,structure .

you  already know this is what i can have and if i deviate then i am not going to lose weight !

if you cook on your own you have to go to the grocery store that is literally filled with bad and  utterly delicious food .

then you have to measure and count the calories ! so it is much easier to let the company do this for you ! but it is not easier on the wallet  !

  4. portion control.  some people don't have time to cook healthy, some don't want to measure out portions.

If you can, go for it.
