  1. im not english so keep him there i say.i love what he is doing for english rugby.

  2. it was reported on the news yesterday that as we are in the middle of Autumn Internationals, it would not be the done thing to sack him.  even if England beat SA, it is very unlikely he will keep his job and it will give the new coach 2 months to work on the squad b4 6 nations!

PS this does remind me of a comment from a person i do hate so much

"57 old farts" WC-sorry cannot bring myself to type his full name, but u know who i mean!!!!!!!!!

maybe the same 57 old farts are still there...........who knows? dats y the ole AR is still there!

  3. I agree with the above, but also think it would be outright stupid at this stage in the build up to the world cup to start all over from scratch with new leadership.  At this point you just try to adjust and win with what you have.  If he get's fired write off anything good happening in the world cup!!!!!  We are getting into counting months now!!!!!

  4. It's a mystery, imagine an England football manager still in the job after seven straight defeats. there is something very wrong with that set up

  5. He obviously has pictures of the RFU Board members in drag or something. I cant remember a more inept England coach. I understand the thinking behind 'we cant sack him now because we are too close to the world cup' but with him at the helm do we really stand any chance anyway?

His regime is more popular with the players than Clive Woodwards but what do the the players prefer? A relaxed atmosphere where everyone has a say but no one can remember the last win. Or Woodys 'my way or the highway' regime which won us the world cup?

We are a laughing stock at the moment

  6. Crazy!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. EXACTLY, get rid of him

  8. because the likely hood of Rob Andrew having a major impact before the world cup is minimal so if Andrew went as coach he would get slated instead of Robinson

England will lose the world cup at this tournament Robinson will take the flack and in will come Rob Andrew with a clean slate

I still wanna go to the world cup though! hehe

  9. this is rfu`s policy in anti-gloating gone mad.keep him there I say.from   Welsh rugby fan

  10. Keep him in the job!! He's the best English manager in a long time, in an honest scots opinion. Wonder what the odds are on England finishing bottom of the 6 nations??

  11. the only thing still keeping him in a job is the fact that there is <1 year til the World Cup. If a new coach is brought in now, he might not have enough time to sort things out in time. With the 6 nations just around the corner, it would be a huge task for a new coach to deal with.

  12. As a kiwi fan...  I love Andy Robinson...

But to be honest, with the current state of the English game, with clubs holding more sway than country and the continual meddling of the IRB, who would want the job????  Therein, me thinks, lies the key in why Andy Robinson stays...  Any decent English manager would prefer to stay with their club, why put your head on the chopping block that is the England manager's position???  This is Why SCW left when he did, a wise decision too...

    Cheers!
