  1. London is a fantastic city, with so much to see.  You should start off with a tour just to get yourself orientated.  There are open top buses which you can pick up just about anywhere.  There is also a fab bike tour which operates from Queensway which is something a bit different.  The number one thing to see is probably the Tower of London where you have the crown jewels and you should also see the changing of the Guard which is taking place every other day at the moment oh and Buckingham Palace is open too.

You should spend at least four or five days in London to see all the best bits.

To get to Ireland and Scotland I'd recommend a cheap flight as it's so much quicker.  There are lots of places where you can book these trips in London.
