Why malayali's becomes hardworking when they are going out of state or nation?

From my experience , I have worked in kerala,dubai,australia and have seen around 99.9 % malayalis are very punctual and punctilious, genuine in their field of work and getting admiration from others. But in their home state 99.9 % are Indolent why?

those people with their intention clear do what they are there for.

even i have seen people from several different part of india in my city working extremely hard as they know that they came here to earn money and they to all their best to get more.

this is been seen in only those people who have their goal

To make money and take the money back to Kerala and give it to their lazy relatives that you see.

Probably maybe because you don't have a safety net in the foreign place you go, you are there by yourself, to fend for yourself.  So you have to survive by all means necessary even if that means work! =(

Whereas in Kerala or anyone's homestate/hometown.... if you lose your job, it's okay, YOU can mooch off your relatives. Thank God for family.
