  1. the sea never dead! a man only can die!

    you question may be

why dead man float in the sea?if that right means..

a dead body can float in the water after some duration from the person dead!not only in sea water at any water..

    :-)

  2. To put everybody on the same page here, he/she meant The Dead Sea which is a very salty lake located between Israel, Jordan and the West Bank. That said any object (including a human body)  when put in water will experience an upward force equal to the weight of displaced water. Salty water being heavier (Dead Sea is very Salty) the displaced water weight matches the human body causing it to float.

But as a general rule an object will sink if its density is higher than water density and will float otherwise. This rule works for all objects and all liquids.

  3. it's because the water there is very high in salinity (the water is very salty) so people float.

    hope that helped. :)

  4. man less dense than the salty water.

  5. Any thing floats in water or any liquid if the weight of the displaced water or liquid is more than the weight of the thing. This was proved by Archemdes.

The water in dead see is very heavy due to presence of salt in it and the water displaced by a person weighs more than the weight of the person. This results in floating of the person in the water of Dead Sea.

  6. Your body is made up of 75% water

The dead sea is contains 33% salt concentration.

Water does not float on water because it has the same density ,with a little help you can stay on top of the water but if you stand motionless and you run out of breadth.

he density of salt water in the dead sea is much heavier than

the salt water in the ocean.

You put water(what your made of) on top of salt water it will stay on top.

Much like oil floats on top of water.

  7. As Ching W said, the human body is made up of 75% water.  However; because of the presence of bone; the human body is slightly heavier than water, and will sink, especially in fresh water.  Howegver; your lungs are usually full of air, which makes your body lighter, so you can float.

Try this experiment in a swimming pool: take a deep breath, and you will find you will bob around, with your nose just out of the water.  Then exhale the air from your lungs; and you will sink.

In sea water, which is slightly more dense than swimming pool water because it contains 3% salt, you will find it a bit easier to float; but you will still sink if you exhale all the air from your lungs.  In the Dead Sea however; the water is a lot heavier even than sea water; because it contains a lot more salt.

If you were swimming in the dead sea, you would find that you could still float easily, with all the air exhaled from your lungs.  Remember that by 'float' this means that the amount of your body that would stay above the surface is proportional to the difference between your bodie's density and that of the water.  With a vertical body; not much more than your head would be above water (remember that nine tenths of an iceberg remains submerged).  Lying horizontally however, you should be able to relax and breath normally in the dead sea.

Unfortunately, with a dead body, gasses accumulate inside the body as it decomposes, swelling it up, and making it less dense.  That's why se are seeing those terrible pictures of ufortunate victims on the Burma floods floating in rivers and rice paddies.
