  2. Logo changes for bigger companies always have had a tendenacy to draw attention to them for a period of time as well.  Starbucks is a good example:  There has been a lot of controversy over the topless mermaid that has been on their logo for many many years.

Whether people like it or hate it, it draws attention to the company and like they say there is no such thing as bad publicity!

  3. Companies change their logos for many reasons. Usually it's about keeping up with the times. They like to reflect the current favorite colors or style of dress.

Take "Betty Crocker" as an example. The woman's face used on the logo looks very different today than it did just 30 years ago. It has actually gone through several transformations. Thirty years ago she looked like someone's grand-mother. Today, she is sleek and modern in keeping with the current view of modern woman.

Another reason why a company might change it's logo concerns public response. Sometimes even ad agencies get it all wrong, or just not as right as they were hoping for. Tweaking a logo or changing it all-together can help improve response rates to a particular ad campaign.

    Good luck out there!
