Why many good ideas ended in a dead file?

i'm not sure exactly what you mean by dead file, but i think a possible answer is might be that they were simply not profitable enough.

Very few good ideas come at the right time. There is a little thing called the zeitgeist that means everybody is staring at the house on fire while the pickpockets do their work. Think about the 100 mile per gallon carburetor. Everyone will tell you it is an Urban Legend but I know better. If you discover it, you disappear.

Sometimes an idea is too threatening to be allowed currency.
