Why many people donot want to talk to a machine even to a telephone machine?

what people do not understand is that these IVR machines are installed in businesses to help provide better customer service. It costs alot of money to pay the sarary of the many people who answer the calls at many of these call centers, and most of the calls can easily be handled by an automated system, billing questions, payments, etc. Instead of having to wait endless amount of time for an operator to answer, or for the company to hire additional people to handle all of these calls, the IVR systems are designed to route your calls, or handle simple manners like this so that you do not need to wait.

I personally like getting information from the automated systems, when they are administered properly. I do understand that there are times where a real person is needed, or that the system is not set up very user friendly, but for the most part they have made contact with businesses easier despite the fact that many people wish they could just simply get thru to a real person right away...

Our society isn't personal anymore.

I can't remember the last time I called a place and actually talked to a human being.

Sometimes you need or want answers right away, you don't want to talk to some answering machine.

I always end up stuttering or stammering when i leave a message for someone, then imagine them all rolling around on the floor laughing at me and listening to it again and again.  I think people feel uncomfortable talking to a machine incase they make a t*t of themselves.

Hi friend, people want an answer or support etc immediately, not a brainlesss impersonal machine.  Half the time they

don't even put your concerns in the correct category.
