Why men have to contact women, always in order to have some kind of relationship or dating. Females Only!?

It is always that men wants to have some kind of relationship. Why don't women ask men for that. I was looking at gumtree this afternoon and there were adds of only males but no females were there. Why this is the trend. Can anyone tell me. I want to know the answer. I live in manchester and looking for a nice girl to go out with and to share everything. Is anyone out there.
