Trying to convince a friend that she is good and should do it if that's what she wants...she is so filled with doubt and keeps noting that all the "greats" started when they were in their 20's.

So Frusterating!!!

  1. Some of the best actors are filled with doubt.  There are so many roles for adults that the 20-somethings just can't do as well.  Besides, if she starts now, just imagine how wonderful she'll be when she gets in her 70's and gets some of those juicy parts Jessica Tandy had.

  2. It's never too late to do something new.  Thirty is still young.  You don't have one foot in the grave for cryin' out loud.  I think she should go for it.  At least it's one more experience and educational part of life she has fufilled.  You only live once and do it before you're married and having kids.  Being a mom makes it more difficult to do things, but people can start at any age.  You don't go to the movies to see a whole bunch of 20 somethings in them do you?  How about elderly actors and actresses or younger?  At least if you give it a try, you will be able to say "I did that". And be proud.
