  1. Because most of them are drunk, and just asking for money to buy booze. I've yet to see a true homeless person, who wants food and a home, and a job. But maybe I live in the wrong city.

  2. well first off the smell.

I don't have much to talk about. I mean saying Cold out, just seems rude.

And they almost always want something from me.

  3. Most of them are homeless for a serious reason, they have drug or alcohol problems and/or mental problems, and no one has been able to help them become stable.

Most people don't know how to deal with a person with those kinds of problems.

  4. Some people want to reject a plea for help ($$), and don't know how to say no without feeling guilty, so avoid the situation if at all possible.

  5. people avoid the homeless because they don`t really understand the individuals I work as an outreach worker and talk to many each morning on my way to work to check on them see how they feel, yes there are those that are drunk most days but if you talk to them and get to know the reason why they live the way they do it is easier to understand why they live the way they do.

I have talked to many that faced abuse growing up and there way to escape those thoughts of when they were young is to numb themselves by using alcohol and drugs to escape those thoughts they have.

Until they seek counselling they will live the way they are  trying to escape themselves and there thoughts by using drugs and alcohol.

  6. people may avoid the homeless because they aren't aware of what has happened to these people they fear these people from judging them as soon as they see them. like stereotypes. for example you see a homeless man with scruffy hair, buckled up teeth and a face that has sunken in and automatically assume he is a drug addict or an alcoholic and that's why he is homeless. people judge people on their sight not on what they know. they think the homeless people are going to scab money off them for drugs or something similar this is no the case some do, do that but most of them use it to buy something to eat. the homeless people that do use the money that they have scabbed to buy drugs or alcohol's buy it because they think that it will take their hungry feeling away it may also help them to sleep better. so over all i think that people try to avoid homeless people because they react to conclusions straight away without knowing the whole truth.

    hopes this help you.
