  1. It's similar to... "My dad says..."  Science is also similar to a religion to many people. I find it difficult to put all my faith in science when I can point to countless examples of science being dead wrong. Like the soul is contained in the heart, the earth is flat, man will never break the sound barrier and even "you won't be able to breath if you were to travel at 50mph"

I read a book when I was young called HOW TO LIE WITH STATISTICS.  If you can find it it is worth reading. It demonstrates the methods use to make the mundane seem significant

  2. far too many people confuse conservatives with christianity and liberal with science. if you continue to divide your self and make attacks based upon fear and belief you will get nowhere with the people who question, test and study. science is fact nothing else. if you drop something it goes down...always .....2+2=4......always. fact is not propoganda....ever..now a book written 2000 years ago and edited almost 400 years ago who knows what of that is fact...when there are so many parts retranslated  changer and in some cases totally removed..... how can anyone with any logical sense call that truth.....????

  3. It's too bad you didn't list any actual science organizations.  That would have been very helpful to actually answer your question.  But don't worry, I'll list a few agenda driven "science" organizations for you and then maybe someone can explain why "liberals" created them.

    Council for Tobacco Research

    Global Climate Coalition

    Global Climate Information Project

    The Heritage Foundation

Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine

    Friends of Science Society

  4. The US Environmental Protection Agency and NASA are not organisations created by liberals and there are many more long standing reputable organisations.

  5. and is this question anything more then conservative propaganda?

sure i see what you are saying anything thats not conservative is those evil libs

  6. I thought all groups of people did this to feel less lonely. how do you think the Freemasons, CYO, Hippies, Greenpeace, VFW, Elks, Chamber of Commerce, AMA, Audubon Society, and the Neo-n***s all got started.

  7. they create chaos and then promote victims who they claim they can help

  8. Again with the " Liberals"

    why ?

    Anyway

considering we don't have this "Liberal" problem in the UK, our ones are fine.

So listen to us- we are propaganda free.

  9. like which ones?

i bet you consider these "liberal founded science organizations":

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Me...

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Ch...

    lmao - silly conservatives

  10. To partially counteract the dozens of organizations spreading misinformation on the issue.  Take a look at this list of some of the organizations that have been funded by ExxonMobil alone:

    http://www.exxonsecrets.org/html/listorg...

    Here's more on ExxonMobil:

    http://www.greenpeace.org/usa/campaigns/...

Exxposing ExxonMobil's Agenda: Manipulating Politics and the Public

    http://www.exxposeexxon.com/facts/dailyf...

They even create and distribute fake news:

    http://www.prwatch.org/fakenews2/vnr40

Then the brilliantly mislabeled "liberal media" presents the propaganda as if it were real science:

Media False Balancing Allowed Extreme Views to be Treated Same as Scientific Consensus

    http://www.globalissues.org/EnvIssues/Gl...

Here's an interesting collection of articles which discusses how the U.S. media uniquely supports the false appearance of controversy:

    http://www.nieman.harvard.edu/reports/05...

The desire to display an appearance of "balance" makes the U.S. media easy for ExxonMobil and friends to influence.  That's why Americans are uniquely misinformed compared to citizens in other countries (it's embarrassing).

So the appearance of debate on global warming is funding from the industries that feel threatened if we do something to save ourselves: the oil, coal and auto industries.  Their junk science is gladly accepted by U.S. news programs, because they want ratings, which are directly tied to what they can charge for ads, and ratings are boosted by nurturing that appearance of controversy.

As a final proof point, if the oil industry had contradictory science, the supposedly skeptical Bush Administration would have it, and several hundred federal scientists would be doing something other than developing detailed carbon source information and mitigation strategies:

    http://co2conference.org/agenda.asp

The U.S. government public show of skepticism is simply a ruse, a delaying tactic.  Exxon was deeply involved in developing their energy policy.

ExxonMobil has profits of nearly $1B/week riding on delaying our knowledge and response.  There is far, far more at stake here than there was with the links between nicotene and addition, smoking and cancer.  The oil industry has learned from that history and is not only using the same tactics, but has been using the same people to shape your understanding of global warming:

  11. Exactly - It was the liberal mentality that created the "science" of Eugenics.  Many fine scientist and politicians believed Eugenics was real, put it into gvmt policy and look where that got us.

Liberal mentality also gives us science like what was described in the peer reviewed book "The Bell Curve".

Any time politics controls science it should be a danger sign.

  12. they create science organizations to prove their point.and the only reason you label it "propaganda" is because you cant rebuttle their findings.sorry dude you need to change your name.

why is it that conservatives will believe someone with a online college degree in science over real scientist? and why does every response you have ever made on Y&A has some idiotic comment about liberals, are you that dense?

  13. Everybody creates "science" organizations. And I mean everybody.
