Why most of the things inthe world are 7 in number, like 7 seas, 7 colours, 7 wonders of the world, 7 births?

  1. It may be because historically the world's nations have been deeply seeded in various religions stemming from belief in God, Christ, or both.  In the biblical text the number 7 is used over and over as a metaphor for perfection.  Because of the bible the number seven was thought to be the number of "perfection."  Another reason may be that in nature...roughly 70 percent is a convenient value.  In a naturally occurring sine wave for example, the 45 degree point, the 135 degree point, the 225 degree point, and the 315 degree point (all 8ths of the total 360 degree cycle) are all about 70.7 percent of the maximum point of the sine wave.  7 is a pretty popular number, but it gets more popular when you start to look for it.  You can't focus on why 7 is more popular cuz then you'll see  it that way whether its true or not.  Its all perspective.
