Why movies release on fridays and tuesdays?

i have noticed, did anyone else?

like dvds and big screens, they all land on mostly either tuesday or a friday, why is that?

i mean, i can understand fridays. but why tuesdays?

Most DVD's are released on Tuesdays. Fridays (end of the business week) are convenient times for people to go to the movies and Wednesdays some people get out early from school.

They don't. Movies are released on Wednesdays and Fridays. DVDs are released on Tuesdays.
