  1. i agree with both of them but you dont really have 2 wear white.

  2. symbolizes equality, humbleness, and peace

  3. That white cloth is called Ihram. It is the symbol of Hajj or Umrah. They need to wear it at Kaaba.

  4. Only men have to wear white. Women can wear any colour that they please, as long as its not a colour that attracts people.. like shinny yellow or something!

And the reason why men wear white is because it's a symbol of purity, and by dressing all the same represents equality among men. It erases all forms of division among men. At hajj or umrah, you can't tell whose a rich doctor or whose the poor unemployed man, even if they were standing next to each other.

  5. it symbolises purity. and because all muslims brothers and sisters, of all ages and nationalities are wearing the same thing, it represents equality.

  6. The colour 'White' generally signifies purity, clarity, nobility and innocence. Besides, white happens to be one of the 4 favourite colours of Prophet Muhammad, pbuh. That's why you see the vast majority of worshipers or pilgrims (during the Hajj season) wear white. Of course you could still see some wearing black, bright/olive green, brown, etc; but almost negligible in red, orange or bright yellow.

  7. The ihram is a symbol of purity and equality, and signifies that the pilgrim is in a state of devotion

  8. In  front of Allah all rich and poor are equal.  Also white is symbol of

    purity  and free from arrogance.
