Why must people constantly make fun of my weight?

I'm not anorexic or anything, but I'm a little bit under weight. I've yet to fill out. The problem is, people just won't stop making fun of how skinny my wrists are, or how bony my shoulders are. I DO NOT have a health problem. I eat just fine. I've even gone to the doctor about it. But I still can't even go to a public pool without my sort of "friends" showing people my wrists, going ,"Look at how skinny she is!" I just can't grasp the reason why people must embarass me every where I go.

  1. Tell your friends how you feel about your weight. If you are healthy that's all should matter. If they don't stop I would pick a new set of friends.

  2. what real friends you have.

i i know you may not be happy with how you look right now but eventually you will fill up.

everyones body is different and although yours is alot different from theres embrace it.

your healthy and thats that.  be proud of who you are :] and just stick to a healthy diet :]

  3. i think you should tell your "friends" that its bothering you. i did that to my friends and they were pretty undertanding and stopped. if that doesnt work then try to gain more weight? or just learn to feel good about it or be a smartas* about it to your friends.

  4. Eat large amounts of healthy food.

  5. that other girl is right tell them.

there proby just saying that because there jelouse they want to be that skinny i mean i've felt that but i dont normally point out to people what they look like. anyways they just wish they were like you. so tell them it really makes you feel uncomfterable or feel bad about your self you know what im talking about?

    hope soo.  (:

  6. OMG SAME!!!

you so sound like the female version of me!

i dont think theyre trying to make fun of us, they just think its interesting that we're different.

  7. tell your friends that you dont like being called it and it really annoys you and tell them how you feel about it. I think they might even want to be skinny like you, so dont take it as something bad - take is as a compliment :)

  8. I had the same problem growing up, and even now sometimes!  My friends who were "larger" found no problem with making fun of my skinny hips or lack of cleavage, but would freak out if I ever mentioned anything about the health problems associated with their weight issues!  It is a double standard that seems to be that big people can say anything they want about smaller sized people and we should not get offended, but that we are not allowed to point out the flaws in their figures.  Be proud of your small size! If someone makes fun of you for being skinny just smile and change the subject or come right out and tell them that it is not acceptable for them to comment on your weight, or else you will start commenting on theirs!  I completely understand how you feel and how embarrassing it is, but in this world where nearly 50% of people are overweight there are bound to be a few people who are either jealous of smaller sized people or ignorant of the fact that we have body issues to.

  9. Your friends probably think that they are complementing you because they want to be that skinny or they are just jealous. Be happy with your body. I suggest that you sign the seventeen body peace treaty. It will empower you to overlook some of the things that you are teased about and become a stronger person. Good Luck :)
